The malls of my childhood

Let’s see:

  1. All the stores are the same and they all have online versions.
  2. All the stores are overpriced.
  3. You have to drive way out of the exurban hellscape to get there.
  4. You can’t do what you want there because there’s security all over and you really have no more rights than you would have in any of the stores, and far fewer than you’d have if you just stayed at home or went to a park.
 Yeah, I have no clue why this experiment with dozens of malls in every metro area didn’t work out.
