Red vs. Blue is the fight, not 99% vs 1%

My guess is that some people are heavily invested in the pageantry of electoral politics, and really want (others) to believe the narrow range of political opinion that gets on TV is where the real excitement is. So when a group of people with approved politics appears, even if it’s not at all new, these journalists want (others) to believe that it is different on substance. That keeps the hope alive that their understanding of politics can lead to real change.

I mean, it’s not like the NY Times is going to say that the Tea Party is the same old same old, and if you want real change go visit the anarchists, socialists, and your local militia.
